4Gosanke-za (the room of the three families)

This room is the Gosanke-za, the room of the three branch families. Today, it is used as a hall for various exhibits about the changes Saga Castle underwent and the restoration process of the main palace. Saga Castle, built in 1611, was the residence of the Nabeshima family, and served as the center of Saga Domain politics throughout the Edo Period from the first to the 11th lord.
