Exhibition of New Acquisitions 2

Out of the ceramics that were newly acquired to the museum by means of donation and purchase from 2017 to 2018, 49 sets (58 objects) will be displayed. The exhibition widely introduces the ceramics from the early modern period to the present-day, with a focus on the ceramics in Saga Prefecture including Arita ware from the Early Edo period to the Meiji period, and Nabeshima ware, such as "Incense Burner in the Shape of Chinese Lion with Celadon Glaze." It also includes Nagayo ware from Nagasaki Prefecture, such as "Three-color Glazed Large Dish with Poem Design."
