The Exhibition of New Acquisitions

47 objects and 292 pieces of newly acquired items by means of generous donation or purchase during the last fiscal year of 2019 will be displayed at the exhibition. The new acquisitions include contemporary Arita porcelain art works created by Asao Tokolo, an artist who had great success in the "[ ARITA×TOKOLO] EXHIBITION" which was held at the museum last year.
Furthermore, the exhibition features ceramics made in Saga, including "Early Imari", a porcelain made in Arita during the early Edo period, and Arita ware from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period, encompasses a wide variety of ceramics from the early modern period to the contemporary works from Saga.
