Exhibition Overview
The ceramics division of the Japan Kogei Association, which has led efforts to promote and support Japan's traditional ceramic craft arts, marks its 50th anniversary in 2022. In commemoration, this exhibition showcases the essence of Japanese traditional ceramic art, reflecting on the association's past activities and exploring the future path of traditional ceramic art in Japan.
The exhibition presents 139 works by 137 ceramic artists, including masterpieces by Living National Treasures and new works by up-and-coming ceramic artists through three themed sections.
It is an exceptional opportunity to view a masterpiece by each Living National Treasure all in one place. We hope many visitors will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of these ceramic artworks.
