Exhibition of New Acquisitions - From Nabeshima to Contemporary Works -
The Kyushu Ceramic Museum will unveil 49 objects comprising 92 items newly added to our collection through purchases and donations made during fiscal years 2023 and 2024.
This exhibition presents a diverse selection of works, including objects from the Nabeshima official kiln passed down in an old Saga family, Arita ware from the Edo to Meiji periods, an overglazed dish from the Meissen kiln imitating the Kakiemon style that is clearly identifiable as a piece from the former collection of Augustus the Strong, and works that received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the Arita International Ceramics Exhibition.
We invite you to take this opportunity to enjoy the exhibition.
